Winter Solstice 2021

Happy Winter Solstice ✨ today marks the shortest day and longest night in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest day and shortest night in the Southern Hemisphere.

But no matter where you are located in the world, this day ushers in change, signaling the entrance of another season. As the energy shifts, it becomes a day to release what limits or distracts you from moving forward with the natural flow of the Universe.

This day has been celebrated especially in the ancient times, which they referred to as Yule. But there’s more to the winter solstice than a slow march towards summer. To our ancestors, this rebirth of the Sun signaled the beginning of Yule, cause for great celebration and feasting.

In fact, today has been celebrated way before Christmas was even a thing because the people back then were in ways more connected to nature and knew of its potent powers. For all we know now, today is a potent and magical time for self-reflection, future visioning and intention setting.

Journal Prompts:

•What have I learned about myself and others in 2021?

•I am leaving these energies in 2021:

•At the end of this year, I forgive myself for:

•What am I welcoming into my life in 2022?
